Just thought I'd start a new thread for the fun of it...
The way I look at this series is like this... We could have a few practice days during December and January, charge the customary $20 per car and leave it at that... This deal makes it even better, especially for drivers looking for "seat time." You not only get to practice, but you also get to race and possibly get a really nice trophy (Rusty and Cheryl Thomson did a nice job getting something different than the standard FASCAR stuff)...
Either way you'd spend the money to get to the track, get gas, tires if you need them etc.
The neat thing was, it was one of the most fun days I've had out there in awhile... very relaxed mood and some pretty good racing...
Again, this is for fun... Who cares if 20 classes show up? It's still a show... and nobody is making you stay around... Of course, we haven't had anyone step up to sponsor anything, so here's a challenge... Just see me in the pits or tower... If you have something to give away, we'll give it away to one of the winners... A case of oil, gift certificates for anything (BP, Shell etc. gift cards for gas would be great)... Heck, if you got a $20 bill you want to give to one of the winners (or any position you choose) I'm sure it would be appreciated... But, you know what? I bet not one person takes me up on it... Let's see how much you appreciate the guys and gals who put on the show for you each week...
Of course, another way to show your appreciation is to SHOW UP and watch... then you can get on here and complain as much as you want to!!!
