    Bobby,

We were told by ASA that there would be no ASA practice until Saturday morning. ASA cars can practice but they can not run ASA tires. We will see you Saturday morning or maybe late Friday night.

    Thanks
    Andrew

Several folks involved with the SouthEast Champ Kart Series (SECKS), formerly known as the Desoto Champ Kart Series, have been working hard the past several weeks to build a unique new website.

The new SECKS website is scheduled to debut later this week (before the July 11 ASA show this Saturday night at CCMP), and will instantly become one of the most unique racing-related websites in Florida.

The SECKS website will feature a comprehensive drivers bio page on each racer, an on-line "SECKS Shop" where race fans will be able to purchase a variety of items, comprehensive information on each of the tracks that the series races at, visitor-selected song choices (user can select which song they'd like to hear while viewing the website), and several other entertaining features....

The SECKS website has been designed by a very unique website designer.... Vernicia Gallini. Vernicia has built many websites before for customers, but never one with a sports-related theme. She offered to volunteer her time to SECKS, to add something different to her professional portfolio... and we believe she has come up with something that even casual race fans might find entertaining. If you are a track, series or car racer, who is in need of help with a new and/or existing website, you may want to check out Vernicia's work, when the SECKS website is activated this week. Her contact information and photo will be included on the bottom of the website homepage. She will also be in the pits this Saturday night at CCMP watching the ASA Race and of course... SECKS!...

Below is a "sneak peak" of the new home page that has been built. Stay tuned for the website unveiling from the SECKS Racing group later this week.

When the series started in 2005 and 2006, it only raced at one track, Desoto Super Speedway.

In 2007, the series was invited to race at CCMP, Orlando Speedworld and Auburndale Speedway. In 2008, the series was also invited to race at Citrus County Speedway. In 2009, the series will race at all five tracks.

As a result, it became obvious that the name "Desoto" Champ Kart Series didn't really fit it anymore.... Thus, the racers voted to change it, to the SouthEast Champ Kart Series.

The series just sanctioned it's 50th race, at Citrus County Speedway, on April 18. The goal of the series is to simply survive this tough economy, and to try and do what we can to make our appearances at each track entertaining for the casual race fans.
