It is true that Jr has gotten to where he is because of his Father, but he can't help that. He is in a slump, and all drivers have been through them! His father went winless for a couple years in a row as did Jeff Gordon recently(not a couple years though). Terry labonte was in about a 5 year slump before winning the championship in the mid 90's. jr was the 3rd or 4th most winning driver from 2000 to 2006. I really don't think he's forgotten how to drive! Also, I don't think he's over rated, i just think he's over hyped, and he can't help that either! He's always been very humble. I actually feel sorry for him in some respects. I do believe that he will see success again and I think it is coming soon! He has shown some improvement as of late even though the results don't show it.

Mark Martin has proved what can be done in Hendrick cars, all Jr has proven is he can get sponsors and sell t-shirts.

Martin has more wind than Jr has top 20's this season...........I'm not a hater, i'm just looking at this without Jr nation blinders on allowing me to see the BIG picture.

He shouldn't be in a slump......listen to his in-car and listen to other drivers.

He can complain..but cannot give input on adjustments.

This is one topic that really gets me. All of the Jr haters out there talk about him like he is supposed to have the talent his dad had and they talk down about him because he doesn't. I don't recall hearing Jr making any excuses and lets not forget, he has still won some races and made a hell of a lot more money then most of us combined. All things considered I think has done a great job and kept his nose clean.

I'm not a hater, just not part of Jr nation......he could pick his nose on tv and people would run out and buy another t-shirt to go with their case of AMP.
