      Three questions

Maybe you know revlimit, maybe you don't.
Rules the same as 2007--were they the same as Ocala and Citrus Sportsman??
Who is opening the track?(rumors had Paul Petri or Robbie Cooper)
Friday or Saturday nights?? (probably Sat. I know)

RIP Jack Smith and Kim Brown. Many thanks for all you have done for our sport.

All good questions Jim...unfortunately I have no answers for any of them. Truthfully, I never gave a thought to different owners running it this year but who knows? On a different note, are you going racing in the Ocala dirt? I'm definately getting out there next season to check out the new clay. Maybe I'll see you there. John

I would think Jim would keep his current sportsman for the asphalt track and bring his old one out to get dirty. Am i close Jim?

Benny (Harry)... I'll bet you a season's pass to St. Augustine Speedway that he spends at least 1 night this year at each track! You are dead-on the money on this one! .... Jerry!

If you ever get the chance, or want to share the story, I'd love to know the story behind "Benny The Mule". Everyone has their own reasons, but I just can't figure out yours!

              Here's The Scoop Jim!

Also for our Race Fans going back to $ 10.00 Admission at the Main Gate for 27 Events, (with Kids 11-Under Free when accompanied by an Adult), makes it a very affordable for a night out at the races! Where else can you take 2 Parents and a bunch of kids out for $ 20.00??? The racing season will begin on Saturday March 8 through September 27! Only 3 Special Events in 2008, with 2 being ASA Late Model Races and 1 Crash-A- Rama!

Our Sportsman - Super Stock - Thunder Stock Rules will all remain the same as 2007, and we will E-Mail you or Fax them to you. Both Ocala and Citrus Sportsman Rules should match ours.

The answers are yes and yes
My old sportsman was originally built as a dirt car so converting back will not be a problem......getting dirty.
My asphalt sportsman will need a home. Bronson is a possibility. Will need a gear change is all. Also NSS as a limited late.
All depends on the budget 'cause I am unemployed.......for good.

Yea Harry, why benny the mule? Should be the wire nut kid......LOL

Glad to see that Bronson is going to do something again in '08, but "roll-back prices to $10"... c'mon! What prices are you "rollin' back from? Price your shows according to what the fan gets in return. Four "support classes" is not a $10.00 show, and please don't act like it's a bargain.

Looks to me like "less show... same money".

If that's what it takes to keep the gates open, all the power to you. Maybe see you at the ASA shows. That IS something I will support at Bronson,

Sorry, but I get LM's and Mods at VSP for $9.00

Go ahead... start slammin' me for stating truths again.

                      Sorry Frasson

Frasson, I am sorry you see our Local Short Track Racers as “Support Classes”. We do not feel the same. Our Sportsman Division cars look and race very similar to Limited Late Models! These guys with these “Support Classes” as you call them, work just as hard, and most of the time put on a better show then their upper classmen. We are proud to be going back to “Grass Roots Racing” with our Local Racers as the headliners. The only Division that should be a traveling series is the Late Models.

When you come to visit us for the ASA Late Model Series Special, we’ll be glad to take you in the pits and introduce you to some of these "Support Class" Drivers!

For $ 10 for adults and Kids 11-under free with an adult, we are making it affordable for a family to come out to the races, with 2 Adults and all the kids for $ 20.00!

I can't see anything negative about that, can you?

                      Thanks Racers and Race Fans!

I will not blast you for the classes you are running. I have seen it work at some tracks. I certainly hope it does for you. What does it costs for a family with 2 adults and 4 children between the ages of 11 and 18? Seems like $60. I was raised in a family that had this situation and then I had a family with the same situation. It's prohibitive to take a family, not to mention their friends, to the weekly races at this price. Consider a "true" family rate for this type of family. Just a suggestion. Good luck.

Good answer. I assume you are Mr Cope of Bronson Speedway.
As one of the 'support classes' I hope to make it out there in 2008.
                          Chill out Jerry. LOL

Good Luck Bronson. Hope to get up there for some good "Tight Track" races. I have never been to Bronson that I didn't enjoy the racing, people and hospitality. I want to live down the road from that track someday so I can attend all your races.

Thankfully, my Dad raised all us with the statement: "If you don't have anything good to say, keep you mouth shut".

I have found that it's alot easier in life to look at the glass as half full and find the good things in life rather than travel the low road and look for negative things.

Oh, you guys have good, hot and fresh food too (don't know how I almost missed that). OOPs, you guys have one of the best kept (if not the best) facilities.

YEP.. I admit, Bronson is my favorite track and I also admit that I think the Copes,Tommy and staff do an excellent job.

                            OSF
Thank a Police Officer for what they do........... OSF:

The track is making some changes to try and make it work I have no problem with that.Car counts were starting to pick up just as the track was closing for the season in June. One of the drivers in victory lane interview appealed to the fans to ask management to re-open this fall.Hopefully expanded schedule and Ocala going back to dirt will help car counts in 2008.As the track closest to where I live I will be there to support the grassroot racers because in my opinion that's good old Saturday night short track racing.
