Important Info Regarding Minors at NSS/OSW...

Due to new Insurance regulations, effective JUNE 30, 2009, ALL MINORS entering the Pit Area MUST be accompanied by PARENT or LEGAL GUARDIAN with Court Order.

You MUST provide Birth Certificate for Minor and Proof of Guardianship with Valid I.D.

All Minor Release forms MUST be signed by BOTH Parents.

Minor Release Forms may be filled out during the week at the New Smyrna Speedway Track Office, or they can be faxed to you. Forms not completed at the Track Office MUST be Notarized.

If you have any questions, or need a form faxed to you, please contact the New Smyrna Speedway Track Office at 386.427.4129.

it would probably be helpful to put up a large sign that says something to the effect of:
"RACE VEHICLES ALWAYS HAVE THE RIGHT OF WAY
Please stay out of the pit road as much as possible
And always check both directions for traffic"

i see far too many adults who can't figure this out, much less the children.

minors should not be allowed in the pits in the first place , change that rule and that will make the insurance company happy . let them walk over with an adult after the races are over . then they can meet the drivers and see the cars close up .

I NEED TO STRESS TO EVERYONE THAT BOTH PARENTS MUST SIGN THE MINOR RELEASE... IF YOU DO NOT HAVE BOTH SIGNATURES, MINOR WILL NOT BE ADMITTED INTO THE PIT AREA.

P.S. I am working on a digital copy of the Minor Release form now that will be available on the Website and can be printed and brought to the track... If you do not fill the form out at the track itself, it MUST be notarized.

but doe's any body remember when you had to be 18 years old to go into pits and no women allowed at all --- don't believe that do you

i ain't no woman libber just stating a fact seen it on many pit gates and have also seen two year old kids run out in front of race cars all time

right on ron ! thats the way it should be at any racetrack ! male or female should be at least 18 years old to be allowed in the pits . and if your gonna drive a racecar you must hold a valid drivers licence .
