To me, this photo tells a story. The look of pride on Ivedents face shows how much this race means to our drivers. Winning it is something our drivers cherish for many years.
James did suffer the most horrible pain anyone can suffer. But he has continued to appreciate life. Some of us suffer loss and give up. James has never been a quitter... his life is once again happy but the memory of his late family still engraved in his heart...
this race is so special.... the look captured in this photo is proof positive. The crowds in the stands also tell a story. over 3,000 of our racing family traveled great distances to support our friend James Powell.
Mike and Angie are also a big part of the success of the Powell Memorial. For those of you who dont know... James parents once owned Ocala Speedway...

The day, many years ago, that Mike Franklin introduced me to James is one I will never forget and I will always be thankful to Mike ....Now i look forward to the day I meet Ivedent and can shake his hand! Awesome racer!

Great picture to cap off a great race. Good to see a local(Ocala) racer win for a change too.
Seems odd not having James in a car, but he was there for the support of a very good event.
