What is up with Columbia

So this past weekend there was a modified race at Colunbia that was supposed to pay 2000 dollars.But they did not get the cars they wanted so they cut the purse at thelast minute without telling the drivers.If you ask me that is wrong and it sounds like they do not want to see that track to succeed,that is not the way to draw cars that is the way to loose cars.

That is amazing. Back on April 25,2009, Bronson Motor Speedway held a 75 lap event in which the title sponsor bailed out on the speedway (did not pay up).Bronson stood up and paid the advertised purse.Bronson's (Tony Parker) is a class act,and a man of his word.When times are hard and money is tight all a man has is his word.

Columbia had 10 Modifieds start the 50 lap race and it ran caution free. And they had 14 Hornets start their 100 lap race. And maybe 300 people in the stands.

I can understand cutting the purse if you post it ahead of time. Waiting until the last minutes isn't fair to your racers who made the trip.

9 modifieds started the race,but when you do not tell drivers you cut the purse til the pay off window that is wrong.you keep cutting purses like they been doing you will keep running off the carsand i guess that is why they do not have cars for the classes.overall i really feel it was a real bad move. There is supposed to be a another mod race in july and august,if they do not do something fast come july they will have major problems.

THEY HAD 10 CARS AND 10 CARS STARTED ALTTHOU ONE CAR WAS OFF ON GEAR RATIO DESOTA HAS BETWEEN 3 TO 5 CARS AND CHARLOTTE COUNTY SAID THEY HAD 20 SLABS CALLED FOR ONLY 12 CARS WAS ON TRACK AND ONE DQ. 8 MUST HAVE GOT LOST ON WAY .. CAN;T WE JUST GET ALONG

I HAD A GOOD TIME HAD GOOD PARKING PLACE RIGHT WERE THEY TOLD ME IT WAS GOING TO BE

DIDN'T HAVE TO FIGHT MY WAY OUT AND NOBODY DELIBERTLY RAN OVER US NO CARS GOT TORE UP FIRST TIME I HAD EVER BEEN TO COLUMBIA SPEED WAY

NICE PLACE CARS ARE REAL FAST ROBBIE COOPER - JASON GARVER SYMONS JEFFERSON ALAN BURNS I DON'T REMEMBER WHO OTHER FIVE WERE AND I DON'T WAN'T TO MAKE ANY ONE MAD BUT AFTER SEEING THE TRACK AND THE CARS THAT WERE THERE THE REASON NO ONE ELSE SHOWED UP THEY PROBABLY KNEW THEY COULD NOT KEEP UP

OR EITHER GOT TORE UP AT ORLANDO THIS TRACK AIN'T FOR WEAK AT HEART THEY ROCK AND ROLL UP HERE

ok i was off by one car who cares,that was still wrong cutting purse like that and not telling them.Orlando had 20 cars start and payed 1000.columbia has 10 for 2000,does anyone but me see something wrong here?

did you have a car there or do you just like to bitch -- i dion't know any thing about purse .. but don't here cooper or garver or other two guys on here whining thats just my opinion i would have thought there would have been more cars there than ten

i see they have 3 most time at bradenton - and no boo hoo ing

i can under stand why a lot of open wheels did not come the need for speed was not there cause that track is really fast probably twice as fast as charlotte county takes little different driver to hold that pedal down to floor when you drive off in corner as fast they run

just blame it on well my motor was not big enough it was not the motor that was not big enough they had 4 cycl that was getting job done too

I will agree with Ron about the modifieds that showed all being good cars. Being around that division for many years I can recognize just about every name in that list and I know they are all guys that are usually up front. Now compare that to the guys that raced CCMP Saturday night there is a big difference. I only recognized a few drivers from the CCMP results and one is because he is a complete idiot.

From the information I got was that OSW had 22 or 24 OWM. Only 6 or 8 finished the crash-a-rama!!!! That's what happen to both tracks car count. Grow up and get a life......

No doubt about it , the cars that ran OSW and Columbia are the cream of the crop in modifieds in Florida .
