...Then you haven't been to Bronson Motor Speedway!
The reason I say that is that is because Bronson is one of those tracks that has had problems in the past, but is trying desperately to make it right again with honesty, hard work, and fairness. Tony Parker is the new man in town, and he is setting an example that all track operators should follow. He is following the example that Mike Peters set at Ocala, being fair, firm, and consistent with the rules, the prices, and everything else in between, and the results are wonderful.
A case in point is the big OWM race this year at Bronson when the promoter cut the purse. Tony Parker would have none of it, stepped up and covered the difference at his expense. How many other track operators would use thousands of their own money to do that, just to make it right for the racers? You could count them on one hand and only use one finger doing it.
No matter what, the advertised payouts are paid, regardless! Racers, take note. Your pay will NOT get cut at Bronson, no matter if there are 30 cars in your division or three. Tony Parker pays what he says he is going to pay.
Bronson is still the same 1/3 mile, high banked track that it has always been, but these days the racing is clean and the "bull ring" atmosphere is gone. Rough driving is NOT tolerated, nor is nasty behavior anywhere on the property. Anyone that wants to challenge that can try, but I've seen what happens when someone does.
And bad behavior is not tolerated in the grandstands either, and for those race fans who wish to avoid alcohol related problems, go to Bronson. You won't find any alcohol there except in race car fuel cells. Kids and families are the focus there, and they strictly enforce the family friendly policy!
In talking with Tony recently I know that bigger things are coming to this little race track. That includes a low cost late model division that will open doors for more racers and cars, plus he is in contact with some touring series as well, including sprint cars and more.
I know this might be more than I should be saying because of my position at Ocala and my agreement with Mike Peters, but I thought that this needed to be said. Hopefully Mike understands because here is another track operator who is following the same rules and hopefully will see the same sort of results.
So like I said, if you haven't been to Bronson lately, then you haven't been to Bronson Motor Speedway! Asphalt racers and fans, go and check it out. It will be worth your time and effort to do so!
