If you can't make it out to the races on Saturday night, you can still enjoy some of the best dirt track racing in the U.S.A. thanks to Volusia Speedway Park and www.tvshowcaster.com.
Starting this Saturday, the entire racing program from Volusia Speedway Park will be available on the internet as it happens each week. TV Showcaster will be on hand with four cameras to catch all the action as called by long-time Speedway announcer Joe Linebarier. It will be just like being at the track except you'll get to view the action from four different angles, just like sitting in four different areas of the speedway.
Slated for action this week are the Modifieds (racing a special $1000 to win event), the Late Models, Sportsman cars, Street Stocks and four-cylinder Challengers.
To access the webcast, simply log on to www.tvshowcaster.com and create a user account. It is a pay-per-view event, but the cost is only $5.00. The live webcast starts at 7:30 PM Eastern Daylight Savings Time and should last approximately 3-4 hours.
"We're hoping not only to have folks from Florida and across the U.S. watch the webcast from Volusia Speedway Park, but also people from Australia, across Europe, Japan and more having a chance to see some good old Southern dirt track stock car racing," says Dean Baker, head of TV Showcaster. "We've worked hard to improve our site and to give each viewer a high-quality picture when they log on," he says.
So if you can't be there to support your local track, you can still "be at the races" whether at your home or office. Again, the webcast from Volusia Speedway Park starts at 7:30 PM EDST this Saturday. To access the webcast, log on to www.tvshowcaster.com, select "Pay Per View," create your user account, and you're ready to watch great dirt track stock car action from Volusia Speedway Park.
