  • Why we call it "THE GREATEST SHOW on EARTH"!!!

For those who knock the way we promote just must not go to the SHOW!!! Charlie Daniels played for almost two hours. He still got it!! The Q- Auto & Injury Attorenys had 16 of the best Open Wheel Modifies in the State. We saw Kent Mclean WIN his first race ever in 12 years of racing OWM's. Oh yeah 7 different WINNER out of 7 races. Now that’s racing. And to have the level of Joe Winchell drive with and up and coming driver with the last name of Pummell. And WIN!!!! Packed house. GREAT food . GREAT venders. All the Tracks Sponsors on had. Heck we picked up two more Sponsors. And we announced that Montgomery Gentry (just gotten voted into the Grand Old Opera’s hall of Fame). This is why we call it "The GREATEST SHOW on EARTH".
So for those who make fun sure is missing all of it. Or they just don't get in!!!
Thanks for those who believed and support CCMP. The Home of "The GREATEST SHOWS on EARTH"!! Sure hope to see you next week.

The key words are "new fans". Last night, you brought in thousands of paying customers who had never been to your track. Although they came for music, they also saw some good racing. Hopefully hundreds of them got hooked, or at least more interested in our sport. Well done!

      you got that right Rex.

I was in the gift shop last night and a lady ask me if we did this racing stuff every week. She lives in Ft myers, about 15 miles or so to the south and didn't even know the track was here. she said her and her family go to all the Nascar races but found short track racing more exciting. Now there was a new family of fans. Bob..

Pain in the ass or not, this was a great promotion by Mr. Bobby Bucks.

If today's tracks are going to survive, promoters must add in more entertainment and come up with new options for bringing in fans. If you aren't reaching out to new fans, your track will not make it, it's as simple as that.

Once somebody in this state figures out how to connect with the four cylinder crowd, I think you will see a mini-revolution in bringing in new fans and competitors.

I wouldn't go see Mr. Daniels in concert if you paid me, but nonetheless, this is hands-down the best promotion effort I've seen so far this year.

My friend Travis and I went to see the show and what a show it was! That crybaby on the other message board who never goes to any races must be drunk when he posts LOL. The place was packed and I stood by the ticket booth to see how many FREE tickets there were. NONE, everyone paid and had a great time! I'll tell you what CCMP will survive if the staff keeps putting on shows like that! I will return! "The South's Gonna Do It Again!"
I MAY BE SLOW ... BUT I'M AHEAD OF YOU

That is how you grow a business......introduce it to NEW customers as often as possible. I have offered this before to OSW when they have their Crash a Rama's. When you are going to have six to eight thousand people at your track of which probably 95% have never been to the track to see a race; you should invite 20-25 SLM drivers and offer them to come race for free, even give them all a set of tires and fuel to put on a 25 or 30 lap "exhibition" race before the destruction begins. Like Boneman said, out of the five thousand or so Bobby had for the concert, if he gets 20% to come back again, he is in the gravy.

Congrats to Bobby and staff for introducing the track to so many new faces this past weekend! I can't wait until Montgomery Gentry comes to CCMP!
