Thanks to all those Fans and Teams that made the SHOW!!! And yes it was. But we did have our problems. 6 blown engines took thirteen bags of oil dry. Then we had some over achievers , and you know what that brings out. We had 12 or 13 Figure eighters ready on the back streach reach for their event when we had to stop because of curfew. Man I hate that. We are putting together a new plan about the Scheduling for the up coming races. Bare with us and you will see a very much improved product. The Show will start at 5:00 with the heat races. And this will allow some one the Touring Series to get back on the road earlier.
The races were awesome. A record BANDOLEROS with 7 eight were track side.
Fab 4's always a crowd favorite. Champs had 18 track side but only 14 took the green. Legend as always had the Fans on their feet with the side by side racing.Pro 4's showed the difference from their younger Teams the Fab's. Road Warriors again started out with a BANG "RED FLAGED" for two head on into the back stretch wall. Just HARD RACEN!!!! The Sportsman got the short end of the stick. They only got 8 laps in before the Curfew made us close the track down. BUT!!!!! We did pay the $750.00 to WIN!!!!! (the most expensive heat race yet). We will make it up to them they had 22 minutes on the time registor but they just couldn't get it in.
The Late Models. WOW!!!! there were 31 Late Models that were at the track between Friday and Saturday. Only 25 took the GREEN!!!! Great race for some Scott Grossenbacher Won!!!! But, it wasn't free by any means. Mr. Joe Winchell,Gary Padula, Bobby Shelton, Joe Boyd, Travis Hanson,.... all where nose to tail. Some felt to the NEW RULES about EVERYONE INVOLVED GOES TO THE REAR!!!!! The ones that heeded the rule survived. Many had to start from the back several times. Congrats to Scott's Team and the rest of the nights WINNERS!!!!
