Although daddy is far away for his son's first birthday, today Nathan Michael Bo Williams in one year old. Tomorrow we celebrate his birthday at Rotary Park on Merritt Island hoping that his great grandfather may be able to come to the party if only for alittle while. Dad has fallen some lately and it all depends on how he is. Wednesday, my babies and their mom go back to Colorado and await daddy's return from Iraq.
But I am so thankful that I will be able to celebrate Nathan's first birthday with him. I was able to spend Kaiden's first birthday with him and Makayla's fourth birthday with her.
When you are young, you never think about being a grandma and my son Danny made me a grandma 20 years ago when I was way to young to even think about being a grandma especially since Alex had not even been born then. The year Alex was born, I also was blessed with a second grandchild and a nephew.
I couldn't be there when Nathan was born last year, but I am very thankful that I can be there for his first birthday tomorrow.

P.S. I stuck this thread because today is a very important day for my grandson and his dad is in Iraq and really upset that he is not here for his son's first birthday. I am hoping Michael will see this thread in Iraq since he does look at the message board from time to time and realizes just how much people do care what he is doing and that he is missing his son's first birthday. This thread is as much for Michael as it is Nathan.
