    May 26, 2009 – Devon Holder

Dustin Dunn returns to ASA Late Model Series action on Saturday May 30th at New Senoia Raceway. After his fifth place finish at Watermelon Capital in his last outing, Dunn is second in ASALMS Southern Division points, only four markers behind second place Brandon Johnson. Dunn finished ninth in April at New Senoia after experiencing some damage early in the race, and looks forward to improving on that effort this weekend.

Dunn and his race team, which consist of him, his mother, and his father, are not letting their lack of sponsorship hinder their performance on the racetrack. Through the first five races of the season, Dunn has an average finish of 6.5. This consistency has allowed him to close the gap behind the top two drivers in points, Drew Brannon and Brandon Johnson. Dunn enters the Senoia 100 only four points out of second place in the standings.

Dunn admits that he is looking forward to returning to New Senoia Raceway, where he scored a ninth place finish at the beginning of April, “We are hoping to put a good qualifying effort together which we have not been able to do lately because of underfunding,” states Dunn, “Since we were just there about two months ago we will be able to fine tune our setup since we already have a baseline for New Senoia.”

The Dustin Dunn Racing team has been able to compete consistently this season while racing against teams that have at least some sponsorship assistance. “We are racing against a lot of teams that have partial if not full sponsorship,” said Dunn, “As we stand now, we have no funding.” To find out how you or your company can get involved in sponsoring Dustin Dunn, send an email to CMRsouth59@aol.com.

Be sure to come out to New Senoia Raceway on Saturday May 30th to watch Dustin Dunn, Drew Brannon, Brandon Johnson, and the rest of the ASA Late Model Series Southern Division stars battle side by side for 100 green flag laps. You will be able to get up close and personal to all of the drivers during a pre-race on track autograph session. Actually he is third, but Brandon is skipping this next race so you should be second after it. There is no catching SS Green Light racing with Butch Miller setting up the car though.
