Someone made a gutsy decision last night. I have no first-hand knowledge of who or why, all I know is that New Smyrna ran last night, despite a dismal forecast. The crowd was very small in the threatening weather, and the car count was worse. Maybe they were gambling on lots of fans and cars coming from the tracks that called off their shows early. That seems like a good gamble, even though it didn't pay off last night.

What I really think happened was that someone who loved racing wanted to give it a go, in spite of very long odds, and facing an almost certain financial loss. My thanks to the track for giving us a place to race under very difficult circumstances.

      Hey Bone,
Credit to Tony at Bronson also. He tried to give it a go but at 2:30 or so the rain came and the radar showed a lot behind it.
Glad to hear you got a little racin' in at NSS though.

Despite the threatening weather... The races that were run were pretty good despite the low car count.... And what can one say, the strictly stock race was run just like they used to be years back, in the weather... What a great race, if you didn't notice in the stands, there were a bunch of people in the stands that stayed through the Strictly race even though it was raining...

Congrats to the Track management and to all the drivers and teams who did show up... Oh and many thanks to both of them to make a great effort despite the long odds... Even our illustrious Boneman had a good run up... And we had some good laughs afterward at the restaurant... Next time me thinks we might head to the patch...

        Have a great day all...
