Indy has had better races. It was certainly difficult to pass this year. It is still a compelling event, and I throughly enjoyed it.
My pick to win, Danica, put herself in position to win it like the veteran that she is. Sarah Fisher was clean all day and brought her own car home in 12'th or so. And to my amazement, Milka Duno kept it together and ran 199 clean laps. Good job ladies!
In 4 days, Helio will still be crying.
I, myself cannot muster up any tears.

I mean, how fragile is this guy? I would hate to have him on a co-ed slowpitch softball team, and he misses a tag at second base......he would be a sobbing mess for hours on end. Or a pick-up game of basketball, or a tag football game. Any mistake, or a victory for that matter, would be a month long session with Dr. Phil for him.
You lose a loved one, or your dog, or are going through a divorce---cry away, we'll understand. But anything else.........?
Visions of Napoleon Dynamite come to mind, he's a tender fella'.
All of my bets did pretty bad, but my perennial favorite Townsend Bell put in the drive of the race in my opinion, coming home fourth.
Not the best Indy 500, but not the worst.
As I told my wife after Helio won - he's going to get out of the car and start crying, but the IRL needed him or Danica to win to be in the most news outlets.
A.J. Foyt (the real AJ) would have punched you in the head, punched you in the mouth, and then punched you in the stomach, and on top of that, as you were laying on the ground, kicked your behind, telling you to get off the ground and take it like a man..and get in the race car and drive it like a real racer should. He was truely like that, back in the 70's and 80's.
He didn't go for any wine and cheese crap, no sobbing allowed; "there's no crying in baseball", Tom Hanks said. Truer words could have not been said.
There is also no crying in Racing, not whining... no crying for Gods sake. Cry in your garage, cry on your pillow late at night, but no crying out in the open in front of the cameras.
Helio is the exact opposite. His emotional crap has gone too far, even by moderate standards.
Top Ten Reasons for crying.............................
I'll only post 5, you guys can make up the rest.
--1--your dog died--
--2--your going thriugh a divorce/girlfriend left you--
--3--you lost your job, and your going to lose your house--

--5--you won a big race, and you've passed tech,and your a Mcrerey(kidding)--

I enjoyed the indy race,I always do,but sure there's stuff I don't think was as good as it could be,still root for the under dogs running well.
But off to the side was that stupid Firestone add, using the Baseball song with the wrong words, crap, didn't anyone but me think that was a pook in the eye for both sports,I was afended by that every time they played.
