  • How do traveling series work?

A buddy of mine had his division dropped from the weekly rotation at our local track. He was asking me if I thought there was enough interest to start a rotating mini stock series among the 3 local tracks.
My question is, how do the traveling series in Fla. work? I realize tracks pay for the big series (i.e. Hooters, WOO etc.). What about the smaller series? Do they pay the tracks? Do the tracks pay them? Who pays the purse? Do the series give minimum car count guarantees? Any info on the subject would be appreciated.

There is already 1 traveling Mini Stock series, the FMSC which is dying quickly itself. The LAST thing Mini Stocks need is another traveling series. If he still wants to race in that division, he should consider joining them rather than trying tocompete against them.

And to answer your other question. The tracks pay the series. That's why the Mini's and Sportsmen are dying. To have both Series the same week at a track . I hear it's 6800.00. Any more the tracks can pull in on thier own Mini's and Sportsmen. And have the same if not more cars. And also not have to pay Fascar.

CCMP will have the Mod Mini as the Feasture race this weekend!!!

The Green Momba is going to BLOW the last remaining part of the CCS old days away (the PACE Car). But, just as "HOT" will be the Mod Mini's 50 laps. We are working out the purse (this is our first year of this type of special race). Call for details and slabs. 941-575-7223. Thanks and lets go RACING!!!

Traveling series don't work with the way most so-called promoters are thinking..........Todd Hutto for president..........of any series!
Normalcy is a myth. what is perfectly normal for the Cheetah, Becomes absolute chaos for the Antelope.
