Larry Rice Passes

Sad News - Larry Rice, former USAC Champ and Indy 500 rookie of the year, died Wednesday in Brownsburg, IN of cancer at age 63. Rice won the 1973 USAC midget title, was a two-time USAC Silver Crown champion (1977, 1981) and won 23 times (15 midgets, 5 dirt, 3 sprint) during his career. Rice also ran five Sprint Cup races in 1979 with a best finish of 10th at Phoenix and Trenton.
