I am marking my calendar for this event. I have always wanted to go to Ocala and this just might be my chance to get to check out the track and see some great racing.

Hope to be there as well, BUT, like Jane (and the rest of the people in the great U. S. of A) alot depends on gas money.

Things aren't as they used to be for anyone these days... we have all had to change certain things (yep - socks too).

Not looking for a handout for gas money (cause I always have gas - oops, that's another type of gas).

ANY-HOO, hope to be there and I think KARNACIANS should plan to meet outside the gate at a certain time (say exactly one hour before race time), I say outside the gate, cause some are in the pits and others are in the "Fan Stands".

HEY, where has OCALA3 been and when did he get released... haven't heard from the boy since I was a kid myself.

Awwwww man...LOL...that's my girfriend's birthday. We're making a road trip the other way, down to south Florida, for a dinner cruise.

I went to the Powell race about six or seven years ago, when Wayne Anderson won it. It was the best field of asphalt Super Late Model cars and drivers I had seen in a long time; don't think I've seen as good a field of cars since then, either. Shelnut, both Andersons, Scofield, Dempsey, Choquette I think was there, when he was just starting out on pavement, even David Reutimann I think was there. It *was* a stellar field.

Would love to go to the dirt, but again...girlfriend's birthday comes first this year!

Sure hoping to make it, but like everyone else, the $$$ are tight.

As for organizing a get-together, it's about impossible for me on a Friday night to get there early enough to do something. But I am VERY interested in meeting the Karnacians that do make it there. Especially interested in meeting (for the first time) Mr. Wing and AJ14. Plus, it's always great to see all you other race nuts that I have known for years now.

Hope to see you all there, and once someone figures out the whens and wheres of a meeting place, make sure we all know about it!

Haven't seen the old RSB in forever. Gotta come have a cold one with me bud!

I'll definitely be there. I'll be in the photo trailer, before the races, with Miss Ocala Speedway. It's located just outside the gates so hope to see a bunch of you. Really looking forward to meeting you Jerry.

Of course I will be there. I look forward to working with Rick and Jack again, plus Ken Kinney and the United Dirt Late Model Challenge Series. This is the 14th annual Powell Memorial, and the second on the clay in beautiful downtown Zuber!

BTW...Look for a good showing of late models this Friday at Ocala as racers get their last chance for seat time at the track before the big night.

I'll be in Ocala that day racing go carts from 4 to 7pm. I'll see if I can get my hall pass extended and make the Powell as well. We may have a spot open if you're interested....$130 but it's fun as BALLS!
