Ted Harbit has been running this car for over 45 years at Muncie Indiana and has won several national events with it. sadly, it will be no more:

Harbit himself is in his 70's and still kicking. several minor injuries, broken scapula, slight puncture of the left lung, etc but they expect him back home in a week or so. amazing for how old he is.
they were running the 1/8th only because they were getting wind gusts from 30-50mph. he blew the motor at the 1/8th mile stripe and rolled it all the way down the track into the timing sign at the 1/4 mile stripe. hit ~10ft up on the time sign. hell of a wreck but excellent safety equipment in his car.
