We started the night out with 12 cars in the pits. The cars of Styner and Elder were back. Unfortunately, the #26 of Ted Durfee had motor issues again in the heat race.
In the first heat race, it was #26 Ted Durfee and #30 Mike Belusar on the front row. Durfee jumped to the early lead. Durfee would pull off with two laps to go with engine problems.
In the second heat race, it was #6 Jay Stutz and #7 Jamie Barnum on the front row. Stutz would jump to the early lead.
Feature time came and it was Stutz and Barnum on the front row again. Stutz would jump to the lead, with Jack Duffy following. Coming from the back of the field, #51 Mark Gimmler would take the lead. The red flag came out on lap 12 for #17 Ray Smith, as he went cage side down coming out of turn four. On the restart, Gimmler would pull away as #80 Wendy Mathis worked her way up through the field. Duffy would take over the second spot and Mathis would work her way to third at the finish. Congrats to Mark Gimmler on the win of the 1st Annual "Fast" Freddie Stutz Memorial.
Mark Gimmler and Wendy Mathis both brought out their cars, after five years of sitting. Mike Elder was driving the #52, as Michael Elder could not make the race.
