yep and everything so far is a go. I live on Merritt Island and I can see the shuttle from my frontyard which is great. I love the night time shuttles but anytime is also good. Been out at Kennedy twice in the last few years as a guest and got to watch up close and personal. I know some think the shuttle is nothing special and never even bother to watch one but thank goodness I have never felt that way.
I remember when I was little and still lived in Mississippi and we came every summer to spend it with my grandparents in Deland, we would see rockets go up and come right back down while at the beach in New Smyrna. They have come a long way since then but even back then, I loved to watch them. But they really did go up alittle and come right back down in a cloud of black smoke.
I was lucky enough after college to work on the Apollo program at KSC and was also here when the astronauts burned up on the pad. I have quite a few patches they would give us for the Apollo missions and I still treasure them and keep them safe. Funny how we safe things like that.
