Volusia Speedway’s Sportsman division has blossomed in 2009 and tomorrow night’s (May 9) $1000 to win event is growing, too. An amazing package has been put together by local racers to be offered as top prize for a special “Sportsman DIRT Dash”. This prize package includes cash and prizes valued at more than $500, including a new Sportsman Hoosier tire courtesy of Hoosier Tire South, race fuel from Taylor Racing Products, oil and filter from DeLand Auto Parts, certificate from BEMCO Fabrication, plus contributions from C&M Custom Pools, Allen Tractor Service, McGee Tires, and more.
A strong showing of Sportsman cars is anticipated for tomorrow night’s event as has been the case for regular weekly events all season. This is one racing event for 2009 you will not want to miss.
Add in some prizes for the Moms in the audience plus special admission pricing for the Ladies. This is the “Girls Night Out” that will make Mother’s Day weekend complete.
Gates open at 5:30 and racing starts at 7:30. Ladies are admitted to the grandstand for $8 and pit passes for the ladies are $22. Adult admission is $10, students ages 11-15 - $5, and kids 10 and under are always admitted free!
