  • All Fascar Strictly-stocks - Points to begin May 29th & 30th at both tracks !

Your points season will begin Friday May 29th at Orlando and May 30th at New Smyrna Speedway !

Many of you have mentioned the points and wanted them back so Butch and Myself have talked to Robert and we are bringing them back !

You will need a Fascar Liscence to run for points and you have until those two nights races the 29th & 30th to get one !

For the Orlando Racers I want to announce that the June 5th Strictly-Stock Mania will be double points per race so you can earn 4 nights worth of points at this one nights events !

I will also be working on coming up with some product type certificates, gift cards etc. for you guys from time to time. We appreciate you and hope you will be out in force for this. If you have any questions please call Butch or Myself.

Thankyou and we will see you at the track !

That's great to hear. The strictly stocks are my favorite class to watch and I am very glad the tracks are going to be supporting them more. great call Rick.

Thanks a lot, another great idea. It's also one of our favorite classes. I hope we also do another dice role race for any class, man that was fun.

Thankfully the tracks have listened to the drivers... They are bringing back the points... Now if we can just get some of the drivers back into racing... And hopefully, consistent Tech will continue throughout the rest of the season in this class...

                Have a great day all...

I think points is a good idea but whatever happened to strickly stocks/runabouts being a novice division? I have seen some of the same drivers for running for years and even a few drivers who have run in the higher levels. Strickly stocks could be a great way to convert people into hard core racing addicts by giving someone new to racing a chance to feel how good it is to get thier first win and not have to refinance thier house to do it. Back when they were called runabouts they were constantly moving drivers up when they were no longer rookies, which would give a bunch of new faces in winner's circle each week. I also feel the same with the spectator races, let someone new win.

Points are fine and dandy if they are worth something in the end. Is there any prize fund? What is the reward for the dedication to the tracks?

My dad ran run-a-bouts they told him to move up and guess what he could not afford to and just stopped going all together.this is the only class some people can afford.
Right now they need all the cars they can get I think they had only 6 cars the last couple of weeks.I think they should do a 100 lap strickly stock race... they did one when my dad was racing in the run-a-bouts they had like 60 cars start it was great

I think alot of people forgot how much fun the strictly stocks are. Too many are spending too much on these things. My first "RACE" car was a Ford escort that I paid $50 for. I had more fun in that car then any of the others that I have owned. A tire cost $10, now I hear guys buying brand new tires all the time. Most of the time I would buy 87 octane unless I had an extra 5 then I would buy the good stuff to make the car REALLY fast.

whatever happened to making sure there was an affordable division to go racing in?

when you have to lay out $500 every month just for tires and you can spend $6000 putting a new Super Stock together + towing rig + plus safety gear, that's hardly entry level.
