  • Congratulations to Mark Whitener

Mark got his second win in a row last night at North Florida Speedway with the United Dirt Late Model Challenge Series. Twenty four cars were in the field. You can find Mark and alot of the United Dirt Late Model Challenge Series drivers at Ocala Speedway and Volusia Speedway Park locally. Congratulations to Mark for his third win in the series. He came back from Alabama with his second win only to follow it up the next weekend at Volusia winning there also. These dirt guys put on one heck of a show and if you haven't gone to one, try it. I don't think you will be disappointed at all.

    Congratulations Mark

He had some pretty good luck...

The 101 and 26 were the show until they got together with lapped traffic. both had to retire.

I don't think his win last night was all luck he was fast and patient but Nosbich and Bedenbough put on one whale of a show while battling for the lead.I did not see how Bedenbough got his car torn up I was watching Nosbich slow down with a flat tire and when the 26 came by the right side was all torn up.Collins did a good job to recover from an early spin to claim a top 5 finish.

            Ok, not lucky

I guess "lucky" wasnt the right word to use. I don't think Whitner had anything for the 26 or 101. He drove a great race regardless.

I know someone on the 5w crew. He told me that Mark said he was just riding and waiting because the 101 and 26 were really starting to race each other hard. It might have been "luck" the way he got the lead but he was definately in the hunt.
