  • Bout saw the end of NASCAR yesterday

If Edwards car had been a foot higher, we would have seen the biggest disaster in motorsports since years ago at LeMans. As it was, there will likely be big fallout. Those cables did their job, but I see some reengineering in the future.

Nascar should have invested a lot of the time and money they wasted on building a hall of fame in Charlotte ( when theyalready had a perfectly good one in Talladega for decades ) and put it into protecting the crowd .

Here's what I don't understand. They run 240 mph at Indy with rolling open wheel caskets and they don't try to slow them down. Why can't NASCAR come up with some way to get these cars seperated? I guess it wouldn't be racing then it would be follow the leader.

How about this? Tear down the bottom rows of grandstands put up a second wall and fence 20 ft behind the first one and never worry about it again. It isn't like you can see anything sitting that low at Tally or Daytona anyway and now everyone would be safe.

          i like what you said

but take the restrictor plates off of cars and that would seperate the cars and the men from boys and when you came up behind some one you could drive on bye bye fix fence fill the stands

            I 110%

agree with moving the bottom grandstand seating farther away from the track.
Stop slowing the cars down and race.
