Big ann.....
We announced that one our home grown racers got a chance the make a big step in his career. Josh Williams was one of the TOP 10 to be chosen for the Humpy Wheeler and David Reagan Drivers Development Program. Josh has made us proud to be his home Track. He will go up to Andy's new house (Rockingham) to go through the final pick. More to come as we find out how he doing. Oh by the way Josh did a double header. He WON the Legends and FASTRUCK races last night. And it was in front off a huge crowd of FANS....
It may not mean much to some, but we are tickled pink!!!
Thanks for all those GREAT FANS!!!!
Bobby "THE BIG TOP" Diehl
See you on the road to Martinsville!!!!!

Here they are
Here is a few pics of the full feild of late models for the FEW of you who still may not beleive that there were really 26 cars at CCMP, and that all of Bobby's list on here are a total dream or wish. Well if that is the case then it looks like wish's came true....Although I know that not to be the case.
Even 90% of steve doer came

It was a great night for a fan. With the current economy, I never thought I'd see a race with 26 late models again, any time soon. But, CCMP keeps proving people wrong.
It's amazing to see what is happening in Punta Gorda. As a long-time resident in SW Florida, it's so nice to see the track coming back strong.

Wasn't that neat?
I too thought that was a thing of the past although the UDLMCS typically has hight car counts. I think we only started 25, the #100 broke an axle when they came out but he joined the feild a couple laps down. There was a lot of cautions, but I have seen many more than that in a 100 lap race. The thing with Dorrer was probably 15 to 20 minutes ade with dean maybe 10. So there would have probably have been time to complete the others but that's racing. Maybe 1 less class would have been better. Bob..

Give credit where credit is do. GREAT JOB BOBBY!!!! Right now not just in Fla. and Ga. but all the way North into Ohio promotors would give there right ### to have 100 cars in the pits and have 26 late models lined up to race. There are times I think Bobby is a little goofy but if that's what it takes where is the line for goofyness. Whatever the heck he is doing some people better take notice. Say what you want but the man is getting it done. Also seems to be no complaints from the people that where there. Drivers and fans!!! Just complaints from the ones that don't go and want to see Bobby fail. Hope those people don't choke to hard on eating there words.
Great Job Bobby!!!!
Your keeping the sport alive.

Yeah , theres no doubt that Bobby is keeping the sport alive . At least in Punta Gorda . Actually there are a number of tracks that get 100 cars on a race night .
At any rate its good to see race tracks all over Florida making a comeback . Even the ones that have been closed like Bronson .

CCmp has a 11:30 curfew. We ran the 100 laps and had to cut the fast truck race to 35 laps and the Road warrior race was cut short for anger management. The Fab 4's were cut to 15 laps. It was an excellent show. The people that were there got their moneys worth I believe. How are things going at Citrus? I guess we will be back upi there in Sept. Looking forward to it. Bob...

Hey, I wasn't complaining. Just wondering. From what I hear, I think Bobby's doing great also. I certainly don't want to see him fail and don't know where you got that idea. I've only met him once, some years ago, and was very impressed with him then. It just seemed odd that Citrus was harshly criticized (rightly so) but CCMP is praised by the same people. Citrus has an 11:00 PM curfew but last night was done by 9:00. Go figure. You just don't know what nights are going to be caution fests. My photo site: http://www.rewingphotos.com

Both are awesome, awesome places. I don't know who would criticize either. I haven't been to Bronson in years, but I sure hope it can come back strong.

He brake checked a train of cars and they told him to go to the back and he wouldn't go so after several laps under caution they black flagged him. He still would respond so they brought out a wrecker to tow him off. He wouldn't let the wrecker get in front of him and him and the wrecker made a lap around the track. He finally went to the pits. Whether he agreed with the call or not if he'd just obeyed the flagman he could have come up thru the field. He clearly had a good car. Just hot headed I guess. Bob.......
