  • A big NSS Thank You...

We have to thank all the fans that showed up last night... The place was packed and after qualifying we had the fans vote for either Half-Field or Full Field Inversions for all the Features... needless to say they voted for Full!

All in all it was a fun night last night, but it would not have been possible without all the fans in the stands and especially the DRIVERS!!
Thanks to the Drivers for going along with the full-field inversion... I think every driver there last night truly "got-it" and helped us put on a great show for the fans!

Also thanks to Palm Tree Computers for providing live coverage of the Cup Race on the Big Screen in the infield.

Thanks to all for a fun night at the high-banked half-mile...

Don't forget this Saturday its the 2nd Annual Billie Harvey Memorial 100 for the Super Late Models... plus the Taylor Racing Products Pro-Trucks, Mini-Stocks and the Pub 44 Strictly Stocks.

    Admission is $20./ Adults - Students & Seniors $10. - Kid's 11 & Under FREE!

    Wow

A race track that involved the fans regarding the inversion... what a unique idea... no doubt they enjoyed seeing the cars coming through the field.

I have been suggesting a spin wheel, but you guys did better than that... you asked the fans what THEY wanted and you gave it to them...you have some real smart drivers as well, because they know if the fans like the show, they'll be back and new ones will come as well. When the fan base goes up, so will (should) the payouts go up.

Good for you NSS. Thanks for asking the fans what they wanted. I bet the yelling was something else when they responded to the question.

I'm a big fan of the 5 dollar nights. I don't understand why tracks don't realize people want to go to the races but feel 15 dollars a head is just to much. There was probably about four times as many fans as a normal night and probably sold 6 times as many hot dogs and sodas. I feel the fans had a great time and will be back again, who knows maybe we picked up a few more people who want to build cars and start racing. The spectator race was a hit with the fans. the only things I would like to see different was qualify earlier so the fans don't get board and maybe have at least one big class so the new fans could see all that sat. night racing has to offer.

When are we going to have a Dennis Boyd Memorial? He did a lot for the racers.

Dave, you know I have nothing to do with scheduling. If you have ideas/suggestions regarding scheduling, you need to contact the track directly at 386.427.4129.

Hey Mike... It was great to see you out on the track again.. It would be great to see you out there more often... Now if we can just get your brother back here and both of you running every week again... Give Donnie a little competition...

Hey #65 Sportsmen... Nice to see you out there...

It was great to see a big turnout on both sides of the track... Both in car count and fan count.. Now if we could do that every week....

Well it was nice to be out there even if we had issues the entire day at the track, although it didn't take many laps to remember why I can't make it that much. The good thing about NSS is at least there is only one Dale Clouser to every 20 descent driver out there.

Thats a good example of what can happen when a racetrack makes the effort to drop admission prices so fans can afford to come out . Thank you NSS . I only wish some tracks in my area would concentrate on admission prices , slab fees and entry fees instead of things like , well , you know .

                    WTG New Smyrna Speedway!!!

so happy to hear all the good news. NSS is a great track and I have always had a fun time visiting.
I also agree with a DENNIS BOYD memorial race!!! he was a great guy and all who knew him loved him. Dennis was a quiet humble man and a very warm hearted person. I miss him .. i can still picture him so happy with pride for his little grandbaby (Jasons)... so much love... i sure hope you all think about having that memorial race....

I think that Orlando , NSS , or both , should have a annual memorial race for Dennis . He certainly was a major influence in Central Florida racing .
