  • Some Great Racing!!!

Ok, for those who weren't there last night, NSS had some really great races... The Super Stock and the SLM were excellent.. Both races were to the wire... Congrats to the winners of those races...

The Super Stock race was decided by inches...
Have a great Easter and a great day all

Richard Goodrich #86 won, taking his first Career Super Stock Win [in just the fifth race] with Scott Smith #01 [three-time winner in '09] coming about 12" short!

      It was a AWESUM rcae!
If you ask me... it was the GREATEST SHOW IN SOUTHEAST VOLUSIA COUNTY AT THE CORNER OF 44 & 415!

[sorry... once again... I couldn't resist!]

p.s. - Mike... sign up for the E-Newsletter at NSS Website... I send out the results every Saturday night so they're sitting in your inbox when you wake-up on Sunday!

It was one of the best I have seen in a long while.... Yes, Richard Goodrich, #86, took the Checkers.... I don't believe anyone expected that to happen...

I didn't see you around the track last night so yes, you missed a good one... See you at the track next week...

        Have a great day all...

Not bad racing. The car count was a little disappointing. Especially only 12 SLM taking the green. However, Anderson & Russell raced side by side for a number of laps before Anderson pulled away by a car or two.

The truck race wasn't bad either. The Kennedy kid did a nice job working his way toward the front. I'm not sure Kennedy had anything for the Jarrell truck before it blew up.

          The show ran fairly smoothly.

As a side note... Kennedy and the #96 Truck left the track around 5:00-5:30 because their truck broke... they grabbed the backup... made it back to the track with no practice... and Won! [his 2nd win of '09]

I think they got a half-dozen laps during the "I-need-a" session just prior to race time.

Anderson and Russell definitely had a good race... I'm still trying to get used to seeing someone glue their car to the high groove through the corners... I think Russell might have worn out his tires diving it in so hard in turn three... made it fun to watch...

Don't forget, they will be back for the 2nd Annual Billie Harvey Memorial in a couple weeks... Jim Chadwick has once again done an awesome job putting together Awards for every lap leader, hard-charger, fast qualifier, farthest traveled, half-way bonus, and the list goes on... can't wait for that night, Sat. April 25th.

I'll be adding all the details and contingency awards to the website soon so stay tuned!
