GoPro Signs on as Official On-Board Camera of the V8 StockCar Road Racing Series for the 2009 Season
Pescadero, Calif., April 7, 2009 -- GoPro, the world’s leading manufacturer of wearable and vehicle mountable digital cameras for sports, has signed on as a sponsor and as the official camera of the V8 StockCar Road Racing Series for the 2009 season. GoPro’s new Motorsports HERO Wide will be the official onboard camera of the series.
The V8 StockCar Road Racing Series has entered its sixth season, once again showcasing an exciting brand of heart pounding, ear splitting big bore stock car and GT road racing on the nation’s marquis tracks. The ten-weekend schedule includes races at Palm Beach, Sebring, Carolina Motorsports Park, Roebling Road, VIR, Daytona and Road Atlanta.

The V8 StockCar Road Racing Series opened Feb. 14 at the Palm Beach International Raceway in Jupiter, Fla. The next race in the series is April 25-26 at Roebling Road Raceway in Bloomingdale, Ga. with the Buccaneer Region SCCA. The series will continue through Nov. 7, 2009, concluding at the Atlanta Region SCCA's American Road Race of Champions.
