Listen LIVE to veteran Florida karter and Legends car driver Darin Coker, on the Inside Florida Racing Karting Segment broadcast on Monday, April 13!
Darin will come on the air around 8pm ET!
Darin began karting at the age of 9. Darin quickly progressed, winning races at the dirt ovals of St. Lucie Speedway and Martin County Raceway. Over the next ten years, Darin raced both dirt and pavement, oval and road course. Darin has competed with numerous state and national series, including the FKA, Central Florida Karting Series, WKA Briggs and Stratton National Dirt Series, and WKA Dunlop National Road Racing Series.
In 2004, Darin began racing Legends Cars at Orlando Speedworld. During the next few seasons, Darin traveled throughout Florida with his Legends Car, also competing in the Summer Shootout Series at Lowes Motor Speedway (Legends Semi-Pro Division) in Concord, North Carolina, appearing numerous times on national television.
In addition, Darin currently assists his father, owner of Coker Racing Engines. CRE has won hundreds of karting feature events in Florida, and specializes in 4-cycle Briggs racing engines.
For 2009, Darin will compete in select champ kart races, while chasing points with the 8-race touring Legends Cars of Florida series.
This is the fourteenth weekly segment on Florida karting. These 20-minute segments will appear on the Inside Florida Racing Show broadcast every Monday night! The IFR show is broadcast from 7pm-9pm, with the Karting Segment starting around 8pmET!
