PLEASE USE YOUR WINDEX. All this negative stuff is for the birds. We don't need it here. I do agree a man should be able to speak his peace but after a while we are beating a dead horse. We don't need these yahoo's tearing down any track. Each one needs to walk a mile in the promoters shoes. Every short track in the USA is important to our sport. When people come on here and blast a track or track owner they are putting a nail in the coffin of short track racing. If we are to attract new fans this sure ain't the way to do it. If you have a beef with someone don't air it here, be a man and air it face to face or at least on the phone. Some people are full of poison and I for one don't want to sit in the middle of their negative BS and that for the most is what it is. I know for a fact that aj14 does't work for Bobby and helper doesn't work for him either. If you have a beef with me or what I've said my number is 941-737-5857. Man up and call me. Bob....

When I see post after post regarding the same thing/person/track, I pass it up PERIOD.. not interested with the amount of info regarding the same thing/person/track... once is enough.

Also, I am amazed at the amount of "Hits" on certain subjects, makes me wonder if something is "Fishy" when the numbers go out the roof. Hard for me to believe that many DIFFERENT people are reading the post, but hey, I've been wrong before.

Bobby D. is doing what he wants to do and has every right to do so regardless what others think. I am just one person that has chosen not to open the post to read the same stuff over and over (call it overkill if you like - I just don't have the need).

Good luck to Bobby D. (I might read his stuff one time, but that's all I need).

Some negativity can be useful. It's not always destructive.

If my customers don't tell me what's wrong with our products and service, I can't correct it. I'd much rather hear from people about WHY they are dissatisfied, than to hear nothing at all... and wondering why my phone quit ringing.

Same applies here. If everyone thinks that the same old crap is "just the way it is", nobody will step up to the plate to fix it.

Mike Peters is a good example. He listened to his drivers, fans, sponsors, employees... and THEN made a huge step for his facility by going to dirt. I'm absolutely sure that he didn't go into those meetings saying "We just want the positive stuff folks. The negativity has no place here".

He heard positives, negatives, even some ideas that had never crossed his own mind before, some that would work, and some that were pretty much out of the question.... but he LISTENED! If criticism had stopped him in his tracks, than Ocala Speedway might be just as troubled as the rest of the asphalt tracks (Citrus being the exception).

An 11 division show, with 12 LM's (under SEVEN different rules packages) is something I'm supposed to get excited about? Pretend that the status quo is just fine and doesn't need any fixing?

And before anybody jumps on my back here, I have spoken to Booby in the past about the crazy nicknames and wild hype. Without going word for word (mainly cause I don't remember the exact words used), Bobby said that he realized that some of that stuff has it's time and it's place, but didn't feel like it worked for the people who are already FANS to begin with.

It may work in the local Punta Gorda newspapers, but it doesn't work on the Karnac board.

He seemed to get it at the time, and I hope he has success with CCMP. I've been there. I've had fun there. Everyone there treats me very well. But, please keep the "Greatest Show On Earth" stuff for the "other" group of people you are trying to win over. On here, it just seems to be pissing people off!

Jerry I just Feel sorry for OSF. Bob...

Jerry I am not advocating no negative post. I agree if you never hear from anyone you don't know its broke. But harping on the same thing day after day is getting old. Like OLF said if you don't wanta read it don't open it. I realize Bobby is a little overbearing with his post, but he is trying his best to survive in an economy that many aren't. His crowds have been good his car counts have been good and the most important thing in my book is there is no drama every week. That all said, no matter what you say, Bobby is doing something right. His drivers for the most part are happy. I mingle with the drivers and the fans every week and I very seldom hear anyone say any thing negative in either. I don't talk about other tracks because they aren't my concern other than I don't want to see any others bite the dust. BHob..........

What is it exactly that you want windexed. I have been out of town for a few days and the message board was the last thing on my mind since I was taking care of my daughter, who just had surgery, and her two babies, my two grandchildren. So I am behind on things. What is offending you and where?

Thanks Bob for the offer, however, OSF has never accepted a free entry... been offered several times, sometimes I have been given free passes for upcoming events, but never used them and never will.

Did accept a free hamburger last week (Thanks again OCALA), but that's as far as it has ever went.

Ole Style was just kidding (cause he knows as well as I know - he is the one that is always looking for a freebee - cause he's so broke, he can't even pay attention).

I know alot of people that hang around tracks looking for a free entry (for whatever reason they can justify). I know tracks need that gate money to help pay expenses ie, payouts, payroll and INSURANCE.

I have gotten tickets before (by paying for them) and passed them out to folks that had never been before in hopes they would become regulars.
Mike and Jane Cope have handed me tickets for me to forward to others as well if I said I had someone coming from that area that had never been there(but I would never use them for myself and thats a fact for sure) Hell, I have won tickets at tracks that were forwarded.

ALSO,,, I think most people on this board are not in Bobby D's general area and after a time or two reading all his post, I don't think they keep hitting on the same stuff day after day... but if they do, God Love Them.. and God Love Bobby D. for doing what he thinks is the right thing..(again, I only read his post one time and move on - don't have time to follow that stuff)'

This is NOT an attempt to kiss up to Bobby D. I go to that track about once a year (too far from Tampa).

First of all , I'm sorry to hear about your week Jane . Hope everything gets better .
Bob , Windexing the posts on this board , or any board , eliminates the reason to have a board . My posts irritate you , Bobbys' posts irritate me , thats the way a message board works . I won't cover it again here , but my last response to the " no promotion " thread pretty much sums up my feelings about Bobby trying to steal the board . You might also remember that i came into this rather late in the game . The first thread about Bobby and his clown act was posted by someone else and seconded many times by others before i commented .
This isn't about race track promotion , its about Bobby promoting Bobby . And even thats okay . But when some very thoughtfull people ( even other track owners ) come here and tell Bobby he should probably tone things down , he then ratchets up the noise even more to show us he doesn't have to conform to good taste or common sense , then yes , i don't mind telling him how i feel about it . As other posters have mentioned , if you don't want to read it , don't click on it .
