The Desoto Champ Kart Series will make it's 4th stop of the 2009 season, at it's fourth different track, this Saturday night, at the 1/4 mile paved bullring of Auburndale Speedway in Winter Haven!

If the Desoto Champ Kart Series feature winner on April 4 has VEGA TIRES (any compound) on both the right front and right rear, and has a VEGA TIRES decal on his/her kart, he/she will win one free VEGA TIRE (800)!! This is in addition to the cash payout, trophy and other contingencies that the feature winner will also get for that night!! Purse/Payout:
This series races for cash payouts at every event (for at least the top five drivers), along with trophies and contingency prizes. In addition, a year-end points fund is maintained. In 2008, the series awarded over $3,000 in prizes and contingencies from it's year-end points funds!
And, even though the economy has impacted everyone, in all forms of racing, the Desoto Champ Kart Series has launched out of the gate strong in 2009. In the first three shows, at three different tracks, the series has averaged 21 entries per show! (low of 18, high of 26). At it's most recent race (March 14 at CCMP), the series set a new record for a "regular" show cash payout (non-Triple Crown race), paying a record $1,335 for a cash purse (13 drivers received a payout, of the 26 that competed), following the feature. (Note: The series receives no portion of the front gate, at any track it visits. These cash purses are generated entirely from class entry fees, race sponsorships, and a portion of the back gate from each track).
And, the series will end the 2009 season with a bang! Both the Friday night (Dec. 4) and Saturday night (Dec. 5) shows at Orlando Speedworld will each pay $500 Cash to the winner!
Even if you don't own a champ kart, don't know anyone, or are alone, please feel welcomed to join the Desoto Champ Kart Series drivers and crew in the pits! This is one of the friendliest group of racers anywhere.

Lap leader awards, door prizes and contingency awards are all welcomed by the racers in this series!
