Just want to THANK the FANS, TEAMS, and SPONSORS!!!! Without them we could not pay the over $20,000.00 purses we did last night. Yes. We did have 27 calls of the Teams that wanted slabs. But, we only had 25 Late Models at the track. But there were only 19 cars started the FEATURE. From Friday Night practice (lights on till 10:00 PM just because we care) practice to quailing we had some of the Teams that had their problems. Kevin Macy was the most damage. Motors, electrical gremlins, crashes and other wows. But the 19 Late Models who took the Green showed that the CCMP rules of leveling the playing field was spot on!!!!! All the types of Late Models were here. FAST TIME was “MR. JERK” (a new neck name that was the talk of the night) none other that the MASTER him self “MR. JOE WINCHELL”. The invert was 10 and that put the 1st and 2nd fastest at 9th and 10th on the grid. Oh yeah. The nick name came from an interview with Gary Padual after the last race were he was quoted as saying something to the effect that Joe was a "JERK". So you know the press. Late Model Digest prints it and the NEW NAME was BORN!!! Guess who was second fastest time. YES. Gary. Oh and the day was a little testy also. It was like living at KRISPY Cream “Doe nuts are FREE” The stage was set for a GREAT DAY for RACECAR Engineering financial future. Fiber glass stock went up 127 points during the day. Just kidding. But, if you were here sorry you would of gotten your money worth. Sorry about the long wait at the food and beer lines, but we just could not keep up with all those hungry and thirsty FANS. In closing I would like everyone to know that Mr. Hesser, Mr. Grossenbagher, Mr. Boyd and all the others who got all their BOBBY BUCK's paid in full (cashed in)!!!! And got (even though there was only 19 starter) paid the FULL SUPER LATE MODEL PURSE. So if you want race in front of enough fans to allow us to pay that $3000.00 to WIN (and those were real UNITED STATE of AMERICA DOLLARS) come to "The Late Model Capital of the SOUTH"!!!! CCMP!!!! Also I would like to say it was great see Scott and Shelly Walters back at their home Track and see you next month to cash in all those “BOBBY BUCKS”.
