I know Jr. Hanley and a lot of those guys came down here for speedweeks, but it was neat seeing Rick Wilson and Jack Cook going up to some those races in Canada. Seeing how far so many of these drivers traveled just to race. It's such a shame how expensive it has become.

Look at the picture 80's slm #6 picture 209. Do you think we can get another red or orange car in this race? I don't know if they used spotters back then, but that would be a nightmare!

Pat Redmond is also one helluva model car builder. He provides MANY of the reference photos used at Randy Ayers' NASCAR/Short Track Modeling Forums (http://www.randyayersmodeling.com/modelforum). Ya oughtta see some of the creations there!

Hey guys, it is a great site, I live in the same city as Pat Redmond and the photos are just amazing. I know of a couple other sites like his that have tons of old SLM pics from those days. I will put up some links another time though, got a baby keeping me busy.
