  • Attention Track Owners / Promoters

Have you read the thread: "Somebody tell me this would not work" ?

The only response I have seen is from Ocala Speedway and I know there are more of you out there (I think I "Might" have seen a post or two from Bobby Diehl on other matters but no response on the above thread).

Hey, I just thought of something else... I wonder if a survey passed out to your fans would indicate to you how they would like to see the line up's.

All the suggestions were made in hopes that we could put some good ole spirit into racing... god only knows racing needs a good kick in the butt in this day and age of financial woes.

Hey Ocala, thanks for stepping up to the plate and responding... (sure hope you didn't take that threat serious and remove the 12 pill from the bag - if those two teams can't deal with "Racing" to the front, they need to find another sport like tennis or something close to that.) But the fans will never know if there is equal number pills in the bag or if the bag includes a 12 pill or not huh?.

Anyway, hope some track owners and/or promoters read that thread and consider trying some different lineup procedures or at least seek out what the fans would like to see.

Thank a Police Officer for what they do........... OSF:

Hey Old Sunshine, this a response to one of your other posts. We still have the 12 and no "0"'s in the bag. Lets just say the lower numbers are limited. In a way it's kind of still having a points inversion the round-a-bout way. A lot of the drivers understand we have to put on a show every week. Some are only interested in starting up front.

Well , some track owners pay attention to the world around them and apparently some don't !!!!!!!!!!!!
One problem that was brought up several times in this thread is the threats from some of the competitors that they will find someplace else to race if a track goes to inverted fields . With low car counts already , some track owners will probably cave in to these threats . But in the long run , the defection by some of the " stars " will be more than made up for by increased fan attendance and new drivers coming in to a sport that features bigger crowds and bigger purses .

          Thew Show is the SHOW!!!!

We always invert 3,5,7 or 5,7,9 or even by points. You sould never start stright up. If the Racer need to start up front there not a Racer. We pull pills sometimes. Tried a complete field invertion at the last FASTRUCK race. It was ugle. So I guess this was you were asking for??? If not repost the post.
Thanks for supporting Short Track Racing!!!!!

            Bobby,
Here are the links to the posts they are referring to I believe. The first link is the specific one and the other 2 started out as something else and then got off track. Some real good ideas. Let us know what you think. Feedback from track owners is really appreciated.

BTW, I want to let you know I noticed how you've posted this week. Keeping it in one thread makes it better I think. Thanks.
