  • So who are we really?

Since my day job is e-marketing, I thought I'd use some of the tools of my trade to do a little analysis on the realracin.usa domain.

Granted, the data does have some estimating applied to it because there appears to be less than 5,000 unique users per month, but that should still be a statistically valid sample group, all things being relative.

For those of you unfamiliar with "index scores" if something has an index score greater than 100 that means it is an over-represented attribute. 100 is considered normal behavior in the United States. For example, if you analyzed your town on "owns a computer" and your town scored a 65, that would be less than the standard in other towns in the United States. Same applies if you score higher than 100 - your town has more than other towns in the United States.

Note - this is for the entire realracin.usa domain, not just this message board.

So you are saying that RRUSA readers are mostly teen-aged girls who are college graduates. Lets say I am a little skeptical.

I actually did my OWN analysis on my site, boneman.homestead.com, and came up with even more interesting stats.

      male: 98.6%

largest age group: 60-70 years old, 65%

      homeless: 48%

searching for porn in the public library because they mis-understood "boneman": 82%

In the spirit of coming clean, as Jack has apparently outed us, I am a teen mother of 4 who recently graduated Nail School and I am of the "other" racial profile.

I never thought you guys would find out - I suggest the others comprising the 83% females just go ahead and admit it. OSF secretly agreed to sending him your names and numbers for cataloging as well as recent pictures and/or videos..

I hope no one is using the source of that information for serious marketing efforts.

RealRacinUSA.com exceeds an average of over 30,000 unique visitors each month with January, which is the lowest month of the year for regional motorsports sites, having 21,768 unique visitors.

Our own demographic data, complied through our affiliation with Burst Media as well as Google, bears almost no relationship with the those portrayed in post.

Over 730 unique users downloaded the recent interview with Ryan Hunter-Reay alone in the last 2 weeks.

By the way here is an e-mail sent to us last night after our East Bay Raceway Park show:

          Hi,

My name is Bob Coply and my wife Olga and I produce the Pro Four Report an e-newsletter that covers four cylinder motorsports across the country and Canada.
I have been glued to your radio show and the big mini stock 100 lapper at Citrus County. I have been aware of these drivers like Robbie Storier and Rick Simias for several years and I have had the opportunity to meet Todd Hutto at the RPM Promoters workshop.

I also am the marketing director for the Northwest Por4 Alliance based in Boise, ID and I must say you guys are doing a great job promoting this race and these are some outstanding race cars and drivers. The FMSC was way cool and it took a guy like Todd to build it and the raceteams to make it work.
Out here in the Northwest we draw 30 cars pre show and our cars are just a tad bit more advanced and run on a wider tires, we also use more late model pieces like quickchanges aftremarket steering racks and such. We call them Pro4 cars.

You guys have been asking about the mini stock guys putting a series back together, well it can be done in these tuff times because we are doing it right now. You hit it on the head when you said "make it four or five shows". That is the key, a five race series is what we have and we charge the tracks 150.00 per car and at 30 cars it comes out to 4500.00. We pay 600.00 to win and 100.00 to start (B-main included). We also have product sponsors that cover alittle over half of the field and we never charge an entry fee. Yes it can be done and you guys in Florida have the top of the line racecars to pull it off. I spoke with racing photo master Rick Warren for a few years and the mini stocks are sweet race cars. Keep pushing the series idea.

Four cylinder motorsports is on the raise and the mini stock guys need to be in the spot light. Jim Curry is the man of the hour.

Thanks for your time and keep up the good work, I love your show.

To answer Boneman's query, you have to take each area independent of each other. If you added them all up, you'd have our core audience as, "white, teenage girls that went to college and also have teenagers of their own" and that would probably be pretty tough to do.

It just kind of shows that, male vs. female, we have more females than a website typical of ours. Then we have more teenagers than a typical website of ours would see and so on and so forth. I'm actually willing to bet that that huge spike in teenage activity we saw in that online awards debacle (I forget who the teenage driver was that was getting all of the votes) is skewing most of these stats because this isn't what I expected to see.
