this is probably the year. Ben Spies is beating the living snot out of World SuperBike in his rookie year.
WSB qualifies and then runs two races on competition day. Spies is 2 for 2 on pole positions and 3 for 4 in wins. his only non-win was the first race when he got wrecked out on the first lap. he's spanking them on time in most every practice session too. just stinking the whole show up. if it wasn't for his poor starts, there'd be nothing to watch.
look for FIM World Superbike on Speed channel. it's one of the few actual racing shows they've got.
