Fans and race teams at Volusia Speedway Park can now get professionally produced video of each weeks racing action on DVD courtesy of POST FX Digital Studios in Orlando.
DVD's will be available this Saturday of last weeks (3/14) racing action. The racing is covered by three separate cameras switched live during each race. All heats and features are recorded and mastered at the track. A VHS "back-up" system is also used which gives track officials almost instant access to replays of any incidents or finishes. The system came into play last week after two cars crossed the finish line in the Street Stock feature in a dead heat for second place. After reviewing the video at least ten times, it was determined, in fact, that a dead heat had occured for the position.
Along with the racing, POST FX will begin doing interviews with drivers and other "personalities" each week that will lead off each weeks particular DVD.
"Tonya and her staff at Volusia Speedway Park have been a pleasure to work with," says POST FX Digital Video Founder and President Dean Baker. "We've done video at several different tracks in the past couple of years, but have never seen one as receptive to our product as we have here at Volusia," he says.
POST FX is also looking for marketing partners who would like to offer DVD's of racing action at Volusia Speedway Park in their places of business throughout West Volusia County. Interested parties can contact POST FX Digital Video at (407) 299-8114, by e-mail at dean@postfxvideo.com or just see the crew at the track. You can also order copies of Volusia Speedway Park DVD racing action by contacting POST FX as well.
