Jim Carson is the owner. Every issue has pics and stories about Late Model drivers from all over. Ours are always in it. As soon as I get mine in the mail I stop what I'm doing and I am never disappointed. Enjoy !

I had a subscription, my only complaint and the reason I didnt renew was the timeliness of the paper vs my other sources. He did have more info in there than alot of places. Do you know if the website has a more current version online than what I would receive in the mail?

I have to agree with bubba on this one. I did the exact same thing.

Though reading this post did make me subscribe to Late Model Racer magazine, since I've always wanted to give that a try.

I love to hear people are enjoying both publications. I regularly submit my work to both LM Digest and LM Racer, and I know both Jim and Craig work very hard with their staff to make those publications the best out there.

While Jim Carson is the guy mainly associated with LMD he is not the owner. The paper and its sister publication, the newly revamped slick paper Late Model Illustrated (for the dirt LM set) is owned by Brian McCloud and his wife Carolyn. Brain is a former Ft Lauderdale fire fighter who migrated to western NC many years ago to join Bob Appleget in the very early days of LMD. Brian, Jim and their staffs have worked like mad to make both publications successful. By the way, LMD is bi-monthly, not monthly, and no one covers the sport like they do.

You are right but it is spelled "Brian McLeod". I have worked with them for a few years now and it is Jim who handles more of the Asphalt and Brian handles the Dirt.
