  • Beau Slocumb needs our prayers

    February 23, 2009 – Beau Slocumb Racing

Beau Slocumb, runner up in the ASALMS Southern Division Points and winner of four Southern Division races in 2007 has recently been diagnosed with cancer. On January 28th he had a tumor removed from his lung that turned out to be Synovial Sarcoma, a rare form of soft-tissue sarcoma.

Beau was looking forward to running the season-opening ARCA race at Daytona on February 7th with TRG Motorsports but became sick a few weeks before the race and a chest x-ray revealed the tumor. His racing plans have been put on hold as he begins chemo this week at M.D. Anderson in Houston, TX.

Please keep Beau and his family in your prayers as they anticipate a speedy recovery and a quick return to the racetrack for Beau.

If you would like to send correspondence to Beau of his family, please contact the ASALMS Office and we will work to forward those to the family.

    Or send direct to:
    Beau Slocumb c/o
    Sam & Dave Mosley
    16407 Canyon Chase Dr.
    Houston, TX 77095

M.D. Anderson is considered to be one of the best cancer treatment and research facilities in the U.S. Some say its second to none.

Best wishes for a favorable outcome and a speedy recovery Beau!

        Prayers work...

and they will work for Beau .... I pray God will heal you soon and that this will all be just a memory. There is power in prayer. Especially when so many pray together. this family has made it happen before ! There is strength in unity and God hears us...
