I agree,The announcer said that they had full intentions on waiting out the rain that they had plenty of daylight.. Then they went to commercial

I'm in Ocala and it's been raining here almost nonstop since about 3:30 and it's 10:52 now. I would have liked to see the race go the full distance but in this case, I think they made the right call.

They have been saying that it was going to rain Sunday late afternoon all week long. You would think that they would start the race sooner, which they have in the past. The best part of the race is the last few laps. I personally would have felt ripped off not to see the end if I had gone.

The 500 used to start every year at 1PM... Then they started screwing around so FOX could do all their useless bull-crap... You can't outrun a cold front, but if the race would have started at it's TRADITIONAL time, you would have seen a finish... $55 or $99... what a waste of money for the fans now, plus get soaked getting to your car and another 3 hours worth of traffic jams... Glad I was in front of the TV... One of the worst 500's or 380's ever...
TRADITION and NASCAR do not go together...

Aggressive blocking yes, but that's not the behavior that caused the big one and wrecked out many contenders, including the dominant car.

Junior let frustration get to him, he turned back up in to Vickers knowing he wasn't clear.

If the roles were reversed, Vickers would have gotten 5 laps.

Jr. would have blocked the same exact way... no doubt about it.. if you are going to block (which was a legal move), you don't block half way and leave an opening.
Anyone that thinks Jr. wouldn't have done the same exact block is living in a dream world.
And YES, Jr. did come back into the side of Vickers.. the rule says "If forced below the yellow line, you are to BLEND back into traffic"... OOPS, guess Jr. didn't get that "BLEND" word.

Why didnt Vickers get 5 laps at Talladega a couple of years ago? What about Kyle Busch at Bristol in truck race and Nextel cup Bristol race? And many more. Vickers blocked him below the yellow, look how far Vickers came off the yellow to block again with Jrs run. What would happen if Jr lifted? Probably the same result.

even if the start times were earlier they were not going to be able to start that race till about the time they did but yes i agree the race started too late

i would gaurentee you that if junior was in front of vickers then junior would have blocked just as aggressively
