From my vantage point (it happened right in front of me) and MANY others... it looked like he thought he was clear past the #51 and tried to come up, clipping the front of the #51 and hitting the wall...

As with ALL racing incidents... opinions vary... but that is what I and many others 'thought' we saw...

I try to watch the roof lines on the front-stretch since we can't really see if a car is moving up or down from our vantage point... and the #51's roof line never changed the whole way down the front-stretch.

Very impressive performance by Leperle this week despite the wreck. Hey Andre, do you know what Patrick Carpentier is doing this year? Wish he would accept a full time Nationwide or Truck ride, I thought he was on the verge of breaking out last year.

Patrick Laperle is always good, wherever he goes. He has a lot of talent, always has good car and a great team. Too bad for that crash.

As for Patrick Carpentier, doesn't look too sunny for him. Here in Québec, from everything we could read here and there in the news, he could not come up with any (enough) sponsorship money, so he watches the races from his TV set. Too bad, he has a ton of talent, charisma, right attitude and every thing needed but the cash flow necessary to buy himself a ride. I don't think he has or would turn down any rides, either Truck or Nationwide.

May be the future hold some brighter days, who knows???

Thanks Andre, excuse my spelling, "Laperle", pardon my French as well for not placing the accent over the E in your name (don't know where it is on the keyboard!).
I'm mesmerised by the road course in Montreal. Next to Daytona, it has become one of the top races I catch on T.V.. I hope to visit Quebec someday.

No problem for the spelling, I can live with that.

As far as visiting to Québec, if you do, I would strongly recommend you plan your trip between April & November, cause, December to March is pretty cold for a southerner. We had all the way down to minus 38F here in Trois Rivières in January, That is cold my friend.

use the Character Map. in Windows XP, it's found under Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Character Map

that's also where you get the degree symbol and cent sign.
