  • Sheltra/Hollenbeck wreck

Ouch that was a bad one. Hope all is well with Patrick. 1-2 feet to the left and it would have been a whole nother story. Thank goodness for that.

Wasn't Hollenbeck the same one who nearly drove through Gerhart earlier in the race well under caution? Seems like he either didnt have a spotter or had no clue about what to do when the yellow comes out.

        was wondering about that too...

alot of the incidents in ARCA especially, but also in the shootout, seemed to be because spotters werent doing their jobs... anyway it was fun watching good racing. just wish some of the bad wrecks didnt happen. i get nervous when i see them take out the jaws of life. thats never good... but glad they have them. ;-)

i didnt know Billy Venterini was a crew chief... how the heck did that happen. ive heard him talk to his father with total lack of respect for him. has he finally matured and learned how to talk to people with respect? hard to believe he is wendys brother...

It wasn't a spotter problem, it was the meatheads pushing the throttle pedal. Whenever these guys heard "caution" through ther headphones, they would jump OFF the throttle, and everyone around them would plow right in. Most wrecks were started FAR ahead of the spin that brought out the caution in the first place. They have NO CLUE about easing off the throttle istead of jumping off of it.

arca does have a caution light system built into the cars,so when the caution is thrown the light in the car turns on.now the IF question,if the driver is paying attention
