Besides, his hair was acting as a sun block.
When I first saw him at a distance, and his back to me, I knew it was him because of the hair. I said loudly "hey Boris" and he turned around looking a little scared. Guess he thought I was some girls husband. We shook hands and talked racin'. Really nice guy.
--JIM--RIP Jack Smith and Kim Brown. Many thanks for all you have done for our sport.

Jim stood up when he was photographed with Danica...LOL!
Sorry Jim, you'll have plenty of opportunity for payback later.
But seriously, I think there are a whole list of reasons why NASCAR is losing fans. It is one thing to price the fans out of the race tracks, but the majority of their fans are watching on TV, and when those numbers drop so do the advertisers. And yes, those numbers are dropping! People are getting bored with the product being presented, and NASCAR needs to spice it up. The Shootout was a good step in that direction, but every race needs that same sort of excitement! Junior is absolutely correct, but there is a lot more to the story than what he mentioned.

psssst!
[ looks both ways to make sure we're not being overheard ]
full field inverts and award points for qualifying position ( 50% of race finish?, Newman would love that ) to keep the qual efforts honest. backmarkers get 'valuable' tv time for being near the front in garbage time at the beginning of the race. lots of stuff to watch at the track as the fast cars come to the front. and maybe these nimrods manning the camera's and control booths would finally figure out how to find the interesting things that are happening on the track.
there is no excuse for a +200 mile / +200 lap race being started straight up.Racers Supporting Racers - for all your Vero Beach area automotive repair needs:
