  • World Series...

Just updated the pre-entry list... there's more coming in everyday...

Click Here to view the Pre-Entry List

PARKING & STAGING INFORMATION will be uploaded later today to this site, the New Smyrna Speedway site and 'elsewhere'...

Parking Rules will be STRICTLY ENFORCED this year, so please pay attention to them... This includes a 5 MPH Speed Limit in the Pit Area and ABSOLUTELY NO PERSONAL VEHICLES in the Pit Area... There will be NO EXCEPTIONS to this Rule!

Please do not even try... You will be turned away at the Pit Gate, regardless of where you are pitting (infield, hill, backstretch).

If you need to make arrangements to drop off equipment, etc., you MUST find an Official and they will either drop it off for you, or make other arrangements to get your stuff delivered where it needs to go.

We simply do not have enough space to accommodate Trailers, Racecars and Personal Vehicles, plus there is a Safety issue involved with that many Racecars and People... We apologize if this inconveniences anyone, and we appreciate everyone's cooperation in advance.

Do you guys have a plan to deal with 4 wheelers? They are getting bigger, faster and are often driven around the pits by 10 year olds. Just about every track has this problem, but it gets much worse during the World Series. I know they are a necessary tool, but I hope someone is prepared to park or throw out the worst offenders.

Is this problem even on the radar screen?

EVERY 4-Wheeler MUST have a Car Number on it... this will also be STRICTLY ENFORCED... and there will be a Vinyl Cutter on Property to put numbers on any that do not have them already.

This was addressed at length at the last meeting... it is getting too dangerous and we are prepared to deal with ANYONE not following the Rules (especially the 5 M.P.H. Speed Limit throughout the Pit Area)

          Question

I will have a 6 wheel Gator with my Vintage car for the reunion day ONLY. Do I need a number on it? This is the safest way we have to move our car around people. We will be w parked with the vintage folks in the lot and only near the pits when we are on track for that introduction.

As long as you are not spending any length of time in the Pit Area, you should be fine.

Sure hope you park the big semis in the upper pit or outside of the track. Those of us in the stands like to see the back straight too.

Will there be any autograph sessions before the features during SpeedWeeks, like for the regular TBARA and Sunbelt races?

Only for the Bandeloros, with a two hour time limit for autographs.

As of right now, there are pre-race Autograph Session scheduled on Wednesday night (John Blewett Memorial Night) and Saturday night (Pete Orr Memorial Night)...

By 'pre-race' that means before 7:30 Opening Ceremonies.

I will try to keep posted as we know more or if anything changes.

You can keep up with all the World Series happenings on Speed51.com as they will be doing live updates throughout the week.

We need an autograph session during the TBARA races as well, if we can work it in.

As a fan, I'd like to meet the modified invaders from up north and get an autograph. I know you guys have a tight schedule and all (I think) but a TBARA autograph session would be a major plus.

I think each touring series that will be racing during SpeedWeeks should get an autograph night before the features. It's one of the things that really impresses sponsors on our cars - seeing pictures of fans meeting our drivers before the night's races.
