This from Carol on CCMP board.
To all of you who worked in the kitchen...WOW... you fed over 200 people. Food was so good and you guys never lost your smiles. it was hectic. Thank you for the delicious food and for working so hard all day and night. You are awesome!
Finally got to eat that chicken... yummy! loved the cole slaw. can i get your recipe?
also thank you to the Hendrys, the Beckners, Melanie, Gary, Bobby, thank you to all the people whos names i dont know. Thank you to Derrick for bringing Laura and the gorgeous twins...what a fantastic job you did Derrick. i am so happy i got to hold dominic and Avery and let them feel some more love, if just from a strange old woman. they are amazing little children and i pray the rest of their lives will be happy and safe. I know Laura will take good care of them.
... i think it is pretty amazing to gather over 200 REDNECKS and not a single tiny argument... rofllllllll what the hell kind of rednecks are you anyways?
Congratulations to all the people who were awarded ... THE CHAMPIONS !

My post in response:
Carol I second the notion. When we start out we wanted to get a place that would allow the Racers, their Families, Staff, and those who believe and support CCMP. To come together and celebrate the end of a tuff year for all of us. A place that you didn't have to get dress up, but rather be comfortable. Last year the cost of the drinks could of killed a Super Late Model budget. The BYOB meant that it would allow people to be themselves and enjoy the time together (your right it was a little RED NECK,but that's not all bad). Sorry for the time it took to get it together. But we only expected 160 to maybe 180. But this is a testament to how far we've come. Over 250 plus where on hand. I take my hat off to those's who reacted and got it in. For those who had to work, or their personal plans would not allow them the come. We missed you!!!
Again thanks for a GREAT Banquet. Everyone seamed to enjoy themselves. Hope to see you tonight.
