What a poorly run and mismanaged track. I would rather see a track set silent instead of have ignorant incompetent people trying to make a living at what they do not understand. When you try to support the track and they only payout five positions, well lets just say I will not be back. If it was announced prior to the race that they were only paying five positions. I could live with this. It would give me the opportunity to decide if I want to use up my equipment. What is worse is the combined sportsman cars with the Hobby stocks and did not separate them on the payout. The giant holes in turns one and two did not help either. Oh well. I want be back unless I am so hard up to race than there is not anywhere else within a thousand miles. Heck if I just want to spend money to have fun and not recoup any, I can go fishing. At least I can eat what I catch.

How have the car counts been at Putnam? I haven't been out there in about 2 years, but I'm always up for giving places 2nd chances. Anyone have any numbers for how many cars have been showing up this winter?

This past saturday they had 46 cars total that I counted on the results list.......The weeks before the average count was about 20 to 25 cars....I agree with simple man,These kind of calls made by the current management such as paying only the top 5 in each class is'nt helping the track any to succeed jmo.

46 cars spread over 6 divisions. That's not going to cut it. I still can't figure out why this track, more than the others in the area, has never seemed to get it right for any amount of time. Too close to Volusia? Bad management? Bad track layout? All of the above?

            Too bad.

Unfortunately, Palatka has always been to the Dirt people the same as Bronson is to the Asphalt people.

If Less Than 12 Late Model Cars it will be 1/2 purse

The Track Would Like To Apologize About The Payouts
On Jan 3rd And It Is Something That Should Have
Been Talked About In The Drivers Meeting.
From Here On Out We Will Be Paying Back To
10th Place In All Classes For Now On..

People should be happy to have a place to watch/race. Tuff times for everyone but payoffs have to be posted and stood by no matter what. Keep us informed Beavis used to like making the jaunt to Putnam might do it again soon.

If the track really means what it says, then I think they should pay all the drivers who finished 6th thru 10th last week.

Paying the racers who got left out is the only fair thing to do . And it will go a long way toward showing the racers and the fans that Putnam County is serious about making a comeback .
