Is anyone up for a night of mindless entertainment? The whole racing scene is so slow at this time of year, I suggest we all need to blow off a little steam. There is no better place for that than the Little 500 track in Orlando. It is a short track oval with epoxy corners, so you actually have to drive your kart. Lap times are in the 12 second range (lower for me of course), so the scale is about right. Its got all the fun of racing with none of the responsibility! No fees, no hassle, no problems. Everyone is invited and everyone will be welcomed.
We've had two get-togethers there in the past: both were in early March 2007 and 2008. We need to find a night that does not interfere with real racing. It looks like Jan. 24'th is a pretty slow night. Speedweeks/Winter Nationals are still a week away and the closest operating track is 200 miles distant.
Another possibility is Feb. 28. That is before the area tracks open, but it is after Speedweeks, so we may all be out of money. Suggestions for a date?
