The 84 is Lance Smith, Dumont's son, I believe. I think that may have been one of the last Car 84 Garage entries, although I think Brack or Balough may have driven a Camaro down south not too long afterwards...

OK, maybe it's NOT a Merendino car...Lance just may have used the 84 from his dad's old number...looks like it says "Dumont Smith (something)" on the quarter panel...

That is Lance Smith with the #84... After his dad Dumont retired, Lance chose to run the last number Dumont used... Later he drove Budweiser sponsored cars to several track championships...
The first photo is the son of a famous drag racing name from Orlando...
The second was one of those guys who never ran up front alot but was always at NSS every week
The third photo is of a guy who went on to race ARCA and a bit of NASCAR...
The last photo is the guy that Rick Clouser raced nearly every week for the trophy in the Spectator races... He eventually plastered this car against the turn four wall...

I can remember seeing all of those cars at NSS when we went up there two or three times a year. 1981, we were running Tampa and St. Pete; didn't get up to Orlando and New Smyrna much except for the World Series and maybe the All-Pro races and Cracker 200...so I can't really place the names...
