  • Snowball Tech - Per David Rogers

I was just listening to the live show, I was hoping to hear more opinions about the tech at the snowball. They must be psychic - cuz that was what they talked about. That and the new style car Rogers has. Must be something he showed the other local boys up - big time.

Wanted to hear more from Wayne about the wreck, though I could hear in the background when he asked if they were gonna talk about it and they said no.

David said they specifically looked for blowers in tech and told people about them and if they were gonna leave them on unhook the wires. That makes sense - if that is the case then they did the right thing.

Further, if David is content with tech up there, he knows a hell of a lot more than I do about it, so my apologies to Mr Brooks and Five Flags for insinuating otherwise.

Still seems funny that he works for Donald Long though.

Tech guys do not get paid alot by the tracks. Most just do it because they love the sport. There is no way that Ricky Brooks should be expected to quit a great job just so he can be the tech guy at Five Flags. No one would do that! JMO

I hear ya, and I guess I dont fault him for it, everybody has to pay the bills, but it is an odd circumstance - you have to admit. Not saying he should quit either position, he seems to do well at both.

At the Drivers meeting one of the mornings, Ricky brought out a carburetor that he had confiscated from Donald Long, which resulted in a DQ for Long. He was making the point that he doesn't care WHO you are, even if your my boss during the week... if it ain't right, we'll toss your ass out.

If every track were this tough, I'm not sure if the size of the field would double, or if it would disappear completely.

Check out Ocala.com to see what Wayne Anderson had to say about his wreck in the Snowball Derby. The link is below. Thanks.

Ricky doesn't work for Donald's racing team by the way.

I will hijack my own thread...

Hey snowball how is Johanna Long doing? She took a hell of a hit. I only saw the last few seconds, when she was headed for the wall and the impact and when you see the rear get airborne like that on a head on hit - it is a big one.

I haven't heard. She was on a radio show a day or so later, so I'm assuming she is OK. She is very impressive for being a rookie in a Super Lastemodel! She could have easily gotten a top 5 and she keeps her nose clean! Wouldn't you agree? Very impressive especially for being in the Snowball Derby!
